Terms of Service
Effective 16 July 2026 · whyitmoved.xyz
WhyItMoved ("the service") shows stock charts and generates AI explanations of why a stock moved at a given moment, with cited sources. By using the service you agree to these terms. The service is operated from France; contact: contact@whyitmoved.xyz.
The service and your allowance
- Every feature is free to use. Running researches (fresh AI explanations) is metered: everyone gets 10 free researches (no account needed).
- After that you can buy a one-time credit pack: €5 for 100 researches. Packs never expire, stack if you buy more, and are tied to your account (an account is required so credits have a durable home). Credits are personal and non-transferable. Prices include VAT where applicable.
- Viewing cached, curated, or previously answered moves never consumes credits.
- Fair-use limits apply (per-IP and service-wide daily caps) to keep the service available for everyone.
Refunds and right of withdrawal
- Buying a pack starts the service immediately — you can use credits right away.
- Unused pack: full refund on request within 14 days of purchase.
- Partly used pack: within 14 days of purchase, a pro-rata refund of the unused credits on request.
- Email contact@whyitmoved.xyz from your account address; refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe.
Accounts and acceptable use
- Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- No scraping, bulk or automated querying, reselling of answers, or circumventing rate limits and allowances (e.g. mass-creating accounts).
- Sharing individual answers and share-cards publicly is welcome — link back to the source page when you do.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the service; where reasonable we'll say why, and unused purchased credits of suspended accounts are refunded on request unless the purchase itself was fraudulent.
Availability and changes
This is a small independent service, provided "as is" — best effort, no uptime guarantee. Features and prices may evolve; already-purchased credits always remain valid for researches. If we ever discontinue the service, unused purchased credits will be refunded pro-rata.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or your mandatory rights as an EU consumer.
Law
These terms are governed by French law. EU consumers keep the protections of their country of residence. If you have a dispute, contact us first — we're small and we answer; you may also use consumer mediation where available.
